Introduction

Hello everyone!
I'm a multi-skilled creator passionate about bridging technology and art through interactive experiences.

This is my first post on itch.io, and I'm excited to officially launch my activities here!
From now on, all development progress and updates for this project "Idealium" will be consolidated here.

"Idealium" - Visual Novel RPG. Solo indie game project,
that fuses nostalgia for late 90s to early 2000s culture with modern technology,
themed around "Digital Nostalgia."

As one of my personal development sites,
I want to share everything from behind-the-scenes creation processes to experiments in real-time here.

Development Status

Switch seamlessly between system languages

To reach a global audience, the game features seamless language switching between Japanese and English.
This ensures players worldwide can fully experience the story and gameplay without barriers.

Opening Scene Implementation

This update implements the crucial opening scenes that serve as the story's introduction.
This update covers from the art room awakening scene through to the beginning of school exploration.
I've carefully crafted the narrative flow where Aoi awakens with lost memories,
encounters the suddenly-speaking black cat "Nyankuro," and gradually becomes aware of this world's abnormalities.

Memory Defragment System (VN and RPG Fusion Achievement)

I've finally achieved the natural integration of different game genres.
This system is now fully integrated and playable in the actual game experience.

System Mechanics:
Condition Achievement (RPG Exploration/Combat etc...) → Memory Fragment Acquisition →
VN Scene Viewing → Gameplay Reward Acquisition

System Value:

  • Gameplay Rewards: Skill acquisition, item collection, and other practical benefits.
  • Narrative Experience: Deep dives into characters, world-building, and story.
  • Choice ConsequencesForbidden memories that influence ending outcomes.

This isn't just system integration—it's a design philosophy that perfectly aligns the player's desire to "know more" with the game's motivation to "progress further."
It creates a new gaming experience where RPG achievement satisfaction and VN narrative experience mutually enhance each other's value.

Creating NPC based on their ideals.


I'm currently creating a rich variety of NPC characters like those shown in the attached image.
These NPCs aren't mere background decoration—they're essential peoples for the ideal world.
